The 2021 WARM Rotary Holiday Food Drive is right around the corner.

Bags from sponsor Kroger Co. will be dropped off by volunteers at houses across Westerville Nov. 26-29, to fill the local food pantry operated by WARM (Westerville Area Resource Ministry) at 150 Heatherdown Drive.

Residents who receive the bags are asked to fill them with canned and dry goods — see the list of most-needed items below — and place them on their front doorsteps by 8:30 a.m. the following Saturday.

Volunteers from the Rotary Club of Westerville and the Rotary Club of Westerville Sunrise will return to collect donations placed in the bags between 8:30 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Dec. 4.

The WARM Holiday Food Drive had a record-setting year in 2020 and is aiming for another in 2021, when 60,940 pounds of food was collected. Bags are being distributed to thousands of additional homes this year, in hopes of setting another new record!

Envelopes for monetary donations to WARM also will be in the bags. They will feature a QR code that can be scanned to take users to an online donation portal, or used to mail a check to WARM. Please do not leave cash in the envelopes.

Residents who do not received the WARM Rotary Holiday Food Drive bags can drop off donations at four locations between 9 a.m. and noon Dec. 4:

  • North parking lot at Westerville Central High School, 9118 Mount Royal Ave.
  • Annehurst Elementary School, 925 W. Main St.
