Independence Day Celebration

The Fireworks Show

Westerville’s 2022 Fireworks Display

Beginning at 10 p.m., on Monday, JULY 4, 2022

The Rotary Club of Westerville’s daylong Independence Day Celebration concludes as always with our big Fireworks Show!

The fireworks follow our Free Concert Series at the Westerville Sports Complex, after the last band leaves the stage about 9:45 p.m.

The Fireworks Show will be timed to patriotic music, simulcast live from the concert venue at the Sports Complex as it is broadcast by the Westerville radio station and event sponsor, 104.9 FM The River.

The fireworks will be launched as they were in 2021 from Heritage Park near Everal Barn. The pyrotechnics display begins at 10 p.m.!

But the best place to catch the Fireworks Show will be the Westerville Sports Complex – the site of our Free Concert Series and Food Truck Festival.

NOTE: Because Heritage Park is the launch site, the park will be closed to visitors as a viewing location for the fireworks display, due to safety precautions.

Residents are invited to make an evening of their Independence Day celebration with us at the Westerville Sports complex, from 5 p.m. through the fireworks! Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, enjoy the concert and food trucks from 5-10 p.m., then stick around for the fireworks!

RAIN DATE: Should inclement weather cause cancellation of the 2022 Westerville Fireworks Show July 4, the display will be rescheduled for 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, with the same launch site – Heritage Park.

Rotary Club of Westerville
Inspiring Rotary Club of Westerville luncheon at the Villa Milano yesterday! Our speaker Jackie Shaffer told us about the work of her group Village Voices International to bring drinkable water and economic opportunities to the tiny village of Kailer, Kenya – a mission that’s been aided by Rotarian Jim Williams and Westerville’s Church of the Messiah United Methodist. We heard from Boy Scout Chris Koval, who for his Eagle Scout project will complete installation of the club’s Peace Pole at our Harris-Askins House apartment complex for low-income seniors. (Chris, a junior honor student at Westerville South, is the son of our friend Jennifer Koval and grandson of Rotarians Carol and Mike Groseclose). And we again were urged by President Jim Meacham to SELL TICKETS to our April 16 Villa Milano Lasagna-to-Go event, the club’s major fundraiser of the year. #westervillesouthhighschool #villamilanobanquetandconferencecenter #ChurchoftheMessiah #villagevoicesinternational ... Rotary Club of Westerville
Fun social lunch today for the Rotary Club of Westerville, as President Jim Meacham led us through another “Getting to Know You” third Thursday fellowship meeting. We learned about yet more hats worn by our illustrious President Jim – as a volunteer firefighter for the Genoa Township Fire Department and as a longtime Chaplain for the Westerville Division of Fire. And we heard much of the life stories of two of our newest members – Lee Schockling and Susan Whittaker – who both joined the club in January 2023. Great getting to know you!#VillaMilanoBanquetandConferenceCenter #District6690 ... See MoreSee Less
