Events move to Sports Complex for 2020; parade unchanged
As you may have noticed in earlier postings on WestervilleRotary.com, or in the spring edition of the city’s Westerville Community Recreation Guide (Page 29), some major changes are planned for our 4th of July celebration in 2020.
The Rotary Club of Westerville is making big plans for this year’s Independence Day celebration, so mark your calendars for the same great events at a new location in 2020. Most notably, the club and the City have worked together to find more event space for entertainment and better, community-wide visibility for the fireworks show.
The 2020 schedule will be as follows on Saturday, July 4:
8 a.m. SK Walk/Run NEW LOCATION!
Westerville Sports Complex
325 N. Cleveland Ave.
1 p.m. State Street Parade
(Same route as in recent years: St. Paul’s Church south to Electric Avenue)*
5 p.m. Entertainment NEW LOCATION! Live music, food trucks and bounce houses
Westerville Sports Complex
Dusk (about 10 p.m.) Fireworks NEW LOCATION! Near Westerville Sports Complex
Stick around at the music & food truck festival to catch the fireworks from the new best viewing spot in town, from the Sports Complex!
