As the cold season sets in, many young people in our community are facing harsh conditions without the basic necessities of shelter or warmth. Through our long association, the Rotary Club of Westerville knows Star House is dedicated to providing a safe space and essential resources for these vulnerable youth.
Rotary Club of Westerville President Brandy Deichert announced a club supply drive to address these seasonal needs of homeless youth in the community served by Star House,
“With your support, we can ensure they have the resources to stay warm, healthy, and safe during the winter months,” Deichert said.
Club members are encouraged to donate to the drive — using the button below, or through in-person donations at upcoming club luncheons — for the purchase of items currently needed for Star House clients.
“Your giving will help us secure the following essential items for those in need,” Deichert said:
- Warm Socks (all sizes)
- Underwear (new, for men and women, various sizes)
- Towels (bath towels and washcloths)
- Deodorant
- Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
- Other Hygiene Items (soap, shampoo, razors, etc.)
- Warm clothing like sweat shirts and gloves
- Warm hats
- Sweat pants
- Blanket
- Coats
Look for updates on our Start House Supply Drive in upcoming editions of The Rotogram and during club luncheons in January.
