Students Of The Month

Great kids, great honor from the Rotary Club of Westerville

During the school year (October through May), the Rotary Club of Westerville honors four students from local high schools each month. Working with the local high school principals and counselors, one student each month is chosen from Westerville Central, Westerville North, Westerville South and St. Francis DeSales high schools.

The students, their parents and the school administrators are introduced and honored at our first weekly luncheon each month.

The Rotary Club of Westerville extends its congratulations to these outstanding students and their families, and our thanks to our Westerville City School District and DeSales administrators for their ongoing participation in the Students of the Month program.

Hello Club! That picture is at the conclusion of my last April Walk4WARM. Official distance completed is 152.07 miles for April. Not quite as long as this pandemic but hopefully it helped us remember the need going on in our community currently. You folks really responded to the Club fund raiser for April. So proud of you all. As of Wednesday $4125 had been donated + $1500 from the club match + $2000 from District Grant. Total $7625 or the equivalent of a full week of meals for 217 people. Well done!

Hi Club! I hope you have figured out some ways to come out of this Covid-19 pandemic better. Let us hear what you have been up to!
During April, as our club collects donations for WARM, I have committed to walking 150 miles on a Walk4WARM. As of April 23rd I have walked 115.6 miles. If you haven’t had the chance to donate to WARM yet please consider doing so by April 30th. You can send the donation to WARM then let Dave Coffman know your donation amount. You guys are awesome! As of April 22nd the club has donated over $5300 to WARM. We will add a District Grant amount of $2000. In the economy of WARM this translates to feeding over 200 people with an entire weeks worth of meals. And we aren’t done yet! What a great effort to help those in our community experiencing such great need. Way to go! Let’s keep serving!
