We return to the Aloft Hotel Westerville for our October Third Thursday, our monthly evening Social & Fellowship meeting. The event also will serve as our 2021 End Polio Now fundraiser.

Join us from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Aloft Hotel Westerville, 32 Heatherdown Dr. Cost for food is $10, with a cash bar. Please RSVP by sending an email to WestervilleRotaryEvents@gmail.com.

We will gather on the outdoor patio area at Aloft and the hotel will have a bartender on duty to serve us.

To mark World Polio Day, Oct. 24, we also will stage an End Polio Now fundraiser at the event. Here’s the skinny:

  • We will have a jar out to accept donations. Rotarians are asked to drop a minimum of $1 into the jar with every drink order, as a Pints for Polio donation.
  • We will have information on hand about District 6690’s 125 Club fundraiser. The campaign recognizes Rotarians who donate at least $125 a year, with proceeds split between Polio Plus ($25) and The Rotary Foundation ($100). Special District recognition is awarded to participants, and the $100 TRF donation accumulates toward your Paul Harris Fellowship. On Thursday, we will allow club members sign up for the 125 Club with just the $25 Polio Plus donation, and enrollment in a plan to complete the 125 Club donation within our Rotary year.
  • We will celebrate the Rotary Club of Westerville’s own 2021-22 donation to Polio Plus. President Joe Meyer has allotted $1,000 to donate in honor of the business leaders who give their time to address the club at our lunch meetings. We are donating $100 in the name of each business speaker, already at $300 since July 1.

So bring a friend, bring your wallet, and come on out to our Third Thursday-Polio Fundraiser Oct. 21. Hang out with your Rotary friends, check out the cool new Westerville Aloft Hotel, and help – just a little – to End Polio Now!
