The WARM/Rotary Holiday Food Drive is fast approaching. This year has brought incredible challenges to our Westerville community. WARM has seen increases in people needing food more than ever before. And along with all other food banks, we know that this hunger crisis won’t vanish when a vaccine is found or the pandemic ends. The hunger crisis will be with us for several months if not longer.

This year Westerville has stepped up to help WARM in amazing ways! Our community continues to help each other during times of need. WARM is humbled and blessed by everyone’s support.

Last year’s one-day total for the Holiday Food Drive (HFD) was 28,351 pounds of food – the largest HFD total for one day in its history! This was a 57 percent increase in the food collected the prior year. Our Team Captains are a huge reason for this success!

This year we are setting a goal of 30,000 pounds of food, a 6 percent increase in the food collected last year. We need your help as a Volunteer and Team Captain to help WARM meet this goal, and continue to help our community members in need.

The dates for this year’s WARM/Rotary Holiday Food Drive are as follows:

  • Team Captain training: to be completed remotely
  • Team Captain’s bag/materials pick-up: November 16-25 (at WARM)
  • Bag drop-offs: Nov. 27–Dec. 2
  • Bag pick-ups (official HFD Day): Dec. 5 (8:30 a.m. – noon)
